Overview
Under the general direction of the CFO and HR Director, the Payroll Supervisor oversees and manages all aspects of payroll administration. This role is responsible for achieving the organization's payroll processing objectives, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering strong relationships with external auditors, state and federal agencies, and internal departments.

Essential Functions
- Maintains timesheet system for salaried and hourly employees
- Being the main point of contact for all employees regarding timesheet corrections, approvals and questions.
- Calculates and prepares in-house bi-weekly payroll; including reviewing, adjusting and approving individual timesheets for all employees and processing payroll earnings and deductions input, ACH processing and paystub generation and upload.
- Maintains various Excel spreadsheets to review labor hours, ensure proper indirect and direct project coding and create individual pay calculations, including overtime, double time, meal periods and 7th day pay in accordance with State, Federal & MSSS' policies.
- Prepares and distributes annual W2's and W4's and maintains employee payroll files and withholdings information.
- Makes bi-weekly federal and state tax payments, garnishments and funds FSA.
- Calculates bi-weekly 401(k) contributions, including employee deferrals and employer contributions.
- Prepares bi-weekly journal entries and bank adjustments to record all applicable payroll and tax transactions, including preparing all backup required for audit documentation.
- Calculates and processes termination payrolls and non-routine bonus payrolls.
- Calculates and tracks in Excel employee time-off balances, including vacation, banked holiday and sick time.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of equivalent hands-on payroll experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience processing payroll for 100 employees.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxation including federal and state payroll taxes.
- Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and an integrated accounting software package.
- Strong knowledge of Payroll Softwares
- Good Excel Skills
