Ledgent is partnering with a manufacturing client in the southwest metro adding a Plant Controller to their team. This team has low turnover/high tenure and is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Ideal candidate would have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, 5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment, and be comfortable working 100% on-site.
Direct Hire. $120,000-$125,000 (D.O.E.) discretionary BONUS.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Internal Controls and Safeguard Company Assets (25%)
- Review financial transactions and procedures to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards, protecting company assets and mitigating financial risks.
- Participate in Strategic Planning (10%)
- Contribute to the development of corporate-wide strategies, goals, and objectives through collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Generate and Monitor Monthly Forecasts (10%)
- Perform financial analysis to generate monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Track variances and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Manage Cost Accounting and Inventory Control (10%)
- Oversee cost accounting procedures and inventory control policies, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company standards.
- Support Cross-Functional Teams (10%)
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and product line management teams to ensure proper pricing of materials, achievement of margin objectives, analysis of variances, and initiation of corrective actions as needed.
- Additional Duties (as assigned)
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall financial health and success of the plant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant financial environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and internal controls
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various teams
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
