Senior Accountant - up to $92k/yr

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent Manufacturing partner located in St Paul needing to permanently add to their Accounting team!

• Pay: $81,000-$92,000/yr
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (flexible)

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

• Manage and ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, including filing returns and maintaining proper documentation.

• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, perform periodic inventory valuations, and work closely with operations to ensure accuracy.

• Calculate, review, and process sales commission payouts in accordance with compensation plans and sales data.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights and recommendations to management.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.

• Work cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Operations, and Tax to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
  
  

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
