Job description
Greenskeepers are required to complete a large variety of tasks throughout the day. This would include routine tasks such as operating walking mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, riding mowers, and other golf course maintenance duties as assigned. Individuals must have a valid driver license and be able to drive various types of utility vehicles and mowers in order to complete the above tasks. Grounds staff will work under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and assistants. Employees are expected to work in all weather conditions. Applicants must have reliable transportation. Work weeks are generally 40 hours with overtime available when needed from management. Management will work with applicants that need a flexible schedule or looking to work part-time. This is a seasonal position where employees work from March through October. There is a bonus structure in place where employees can earn the equivalent of $2.50/hr in addition to their base pay. Golfing privileges are offered on days when the course is closed (most Tuesdays throughout the season). Lunch is provided to employees on most days. A Pro Shop discount is available for employees.
