Acupuncture Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:- Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized
- Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
- Provide support to healthcare staff during examination by handing the correct supplies and medical instruments to the physician, position the patient, and assisting with other tasks as needed
- Talk with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with healthcare staff
- Record patient vital signs including body temperature, respiration rate, blood pressure, and pulse and add the information to their chart
- Discuss the treatment plan and schedule a future appointment
- Explain how natural medicine's role and mechanism in their healing journey
- Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills and customer service skills
- High school graduate or has GED
- Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited medical assisting program a supervised externship in a healthcare setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- This position requires critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a demonstration of initiative and resourcefulness
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with providers, and team members
- Exceptional customer service skills
