Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Offer tutoring and mentoring to students needing additional support, particularly those with unique learning needs such as autism.
- Organize art exhibitions and showcase student work to foster a sense of pride and accomplishment.
- Collaborate with other educators and participate in education administration activities to enhance the overall curriculum.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity.
- Engage in early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance in their artistic development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in lesson planning, tutoring, or mentoring is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childcare principles and the ability to work effectively with children of varying ages.
- Familiarity with math concepts as they relate to art (e.g., geometry in design) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching art and the ability to inspire students through innovative teaching methods.
- Previous experience working with children on the autism spectrum is advantageous.
