As Delivery Truck Driver & Shop Assistant, you will:
- Support all Lee Construction Group (LCG) projects by safely picking up and delivering materials, tools and equipment to company jobs at the LCG Shop Manager’s request
- Maintain an efficient loading/unloading system and delivery routing system
- Maintain DOT Logs if applicable
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the Shop/Yard facilities
- Perform general laborer duties as needed.
- Always maintain safe delivery and handling practices and follow all company Safety for Life policies
Qualified Candidates Will Demonstrate:

- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Training and experience to operate construction equipment safely – skid steer, off road forklift, mini excavator, and various other construction equipment
- Knowledge of and experience with securing loads safely
- Ability to meet physical demands:
- Able to talk, sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, lift and walk
- Climb ladders and 5 floors of stairs
- Bend, kneel, crawl and maneuver in and around all kinds of equipment
- Move around jobsites during all phases of construction
- Lift a minimum of 75 pounds to waist height
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, able to grasp and assemble objects
- Excellent vision or corrected, including ability to distinguish basic color groups; excellent hearing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Virginia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Excellent driving record; must grant permission for release and monitoring of Virginia Motor Vehicle Record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Willing to take drug test and authorize background check
- Knowledge of road network throughout Charlottesville area
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Experience in commercial construction desired
