HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Lee Construction, Inc., a family owned, managed excavating and heavy hauling contractor is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator.

General Summary:

This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner. Duties include excavating, hauling, grading and moving dirt, sand, gravel, debris and any/all earth materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate one or several types of heavy construction equipment such as; dozer, excavator, motor grader, scraper, farm tractor and duel scrapers, to excavate, move and grade earth at various construction sites.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, as required.
• Probable exposure to harsh, inclement weather including hot and/cold climates.
• Safety Awareness
• General work week, Monday through Saturday, 7am to 5pm. Hours may vary depending on assignment/project. (No overnight travel required).
• Location sites include Glenwood, IA and surrounding areas.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, and Experience:

• TWO OR MORE years ofexperience operating dozer, excavator, motor grader, scraper and/or farm equipment.
• Experience with GPS required.
• Class A CDL preferred, but not required.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
