Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks related to layout, excavation, reinforcing steel installation, welding, concrete finishing and form work
- Must have 3 years’ experience running concrete crew
- Instruct and train others working under you to learn all aspects of the job
- Operate skid steer, excavator and dump trucks
- Assemble Symon brand form panels
- Fabricate and install hand crafted steel and/ or wood forms
- Weld and install embedded steel items in concrete
- Perform layout, operate levels, transit and laser layout equipment
- Place and finish concrete walls & slabs
- Perform daily job-site cleanup
- Responsible for safety in all aspects of their work
- Responsible for ordering equipment and materials when needed in a timely manner
- Stage and setup equipment and materials needed on the job
- Travel to job sites with work crew
- Interface with customers, project managers and department coordinators
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Valid Drivers License
Pits & Foundations Foreman Knowledge, Critical Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of the Concrete & Excavation trades
- Must be familiar with concepts behind earth retention systems
- Complete understanding of heavy construction process and how trades interact
- Must have at least a High School Education or Equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Requirements:
- Bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting frequently
- Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs
- Equipment, tools, and materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Overhead work
- Standing for extended periods of time – 4 - 8 hours
