Description

Lee County Library System invites candidates to join our dedicated team at Library Processing. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-directed team player to serve as supervisor of the Acquisitions department.

Adjacent to the East County Regional Library in Lehigh Acres, Florida, Library Processing provides centralized technical services such as selecting, ordering, cataloging, and processing materials, administering the Integrated Library System (ILS), interlibrary loan, and transferring of library materials to our 13 branches.

Compensation :

• Expected hiring range is $65,000 to $85,000 annually.
• Offer based on competencies, experience, and internal equity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Education, Experience, Licensing

Education : Any combination of education and / or experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Library or Information Science from an accredited graduate library school program or a closely related field.

Professional Experience : Two years of demonstrated supervisory experience in a library or customer service environment, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

Education : A Master's Degree in Library or Information Science from an accredited graduate library school program.

Professional Experience : Two or more years of experience as a professional librarian. Two years supervising paid library staff. Two or more years of customer service experience in libraries.

Driver's License : Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
