A Terminal Expansion Project Phase 1 is currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options. The Terminal Expansion Phase 2 Project began in fall 2024 and will add Concourse E with 14 gates, expand the Chiller Plant Facility, as well as make other associated terminal, landside and airside improvements. The project will also include more than 37,000 square feet of new concessions space. The concession program is budgeted to generate approximately $70M in FY25.
The anticipated annual salary for the ideal candidate is between $ 110,200 – $143,260. This position is eligible for relocation.

The Position
The Lee County Port Authority is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to lead our concessions team, where you will enjoy a positive and supportive work environment in a challenging and rewarding career in the aviation industry. Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director – CFO, this professional position will plan, organize, manage and implement the Southwest Florida International Airport Concessions Program including food & beverage and retail. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a concessions strategic plan, as well as developing forecasts, budgets and financials. The candidate will evaluate and manage all airport concession agreements, as well as assess performance, increase revenue, enhance customer service and maintain compliance with all LCPA standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Administers concession contracts and Consolidated Receiving and Distribution Center agreements, with a focus on compliance and standards
· Monitors trends, analyzes sales and provides high-level reports
· Recommends and approves marketing and merchandising initiatives
· Maintains relationships with terminal operations, maintenance, development and concessionaires to ensure contract compliance and address any customer service issues
· Manages project schedules, updates stakeholders on key dates and supports concession design reviews
· Coordinate the on-going remodel of all the original retail and food and beverage concession units
· Stay apprised of industry and consumer trends and identify opportunities to optimize revenues and enhance the customer experience.
· Makes independent, sound decisions. Prioritizes tasks, applies business principles and translates needs into actionable operational requirements
· Demonstrates a strong knowledge of food, beverage and retail regulations. Understands airport processes, lease agreements and safety procedures
· Conducts inspections and reviews to ensure adherence to lease agreements and regulatory standards with the Food and Drug Administration, Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration
Minimum Requirements
· The position requires strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences.
· Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Suite and Google
· Ability to maintain and comply with Airport Security Clearance requirements
· Strong knowledge of food and beverage or retail operations, including federal, state and local regulations, as well as an understanding of business practices related to managing revenue-generating agreements
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality, finance or a related field
· Minimum of five years’ experience in food and beverage, retail or hospitality with increasing responsibility; Airport experience a plus; Experience should demonstrate a thorough understanding of budgets, retail or food service operations, administration and management of contracts
· Management and supervisory experience highly desired
· Valid Florida driver’s license required
Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.
