The RV Body Shop Parts Specialist is responsible for sourcing, managing, and supplying replacement parts for damaged or worn-out components on recreational vehicles (RVs), including exterior body panels, doors, windows, trim, and structural elements. The RV Body Shop Parts Specialist ensures timely repairs while adhering to quality standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized inventory of RV body parts, including tracking stock levels, managing backorders, and rotating stock to prevent damage or obsolescence.
- Verify that ordered parts are compatible with the specific RV model and year, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Inspect damaged RVs to identify the extent of body damage and determine the necessary replacement parts.
- Provide accurate cost estimates for parts needed for repairs based on manufacturer pricing and current inventory.
- Manage returns of incorrect or damaged parts, handle warranty claims with suppliers.
- Inspect incoming parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before using them in repairs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of RV body components: Extensive knowledge of RV body parts, including exterior panels, doors, windows, trim, and structural components.
- Parts catalog expertise: Familiarity with RV manufacturer parts catalogs and online ordering systems.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage inventory effectively and maintain accurate records
- Technician service skills: Ability to interact with technicians professionally and clearly explain part details.
- Mechanical aptitude: Basic understanding of RV repair processes and how body parts function
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
