A Recreational Vehicle (RV) Chassis Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of an RV chassis department, managing a team of technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain RVs while ensuring exceptional customer service, timely completion of repairs, and adherence to company standards and safety regulations. The Chassis Manager key responsibilities include service advisor interaction, estimating repair costs, scheduling appointments, quality control checks, staff training, and maintaining financial performance of the chassis department.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise a team of RV chassis technicians, assigning work orders and ensuring timely completion.
- Hire, train, and develop chassis technicians to maintain high-quality repair standards.
- Monitor technician performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
- Manage chassis appointments with scheduling team and workflow to optimize efficiency.
- Review repair orders for accuracy, including parts used and labor hours. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Implement quality control procedures to verify repairs are completed correctly.
- Track service department revenue and expenses to manage budget and profitability.
- Analyze repair data to identify trends and potential cost-saving measures.
- Monitor parts inventory and manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
