Lee Douglas is an interior design firm specializing in space planning and drafting, construction management, including new builds and remodels, offering building products such as lighting and flooring as well as final styling. In addition to our design specialty, we have two types of retail stores. Lee Douglas Interiors, that offers furniture, artwork, and accessories, and our sister store, The Loft, which is a themed store that sells finishing touches for every room in the house.
POSTION OBJECTIVE
The Data Entry Assistant position will suit an organized, skillful, and self-motivated individual who is a team player. This position provides support in a variety of areas such as: ordering, accounting data entry, office organization, general customer service duties, calendar maintenance, reception, filing, record keeping, data entry, and routine correspondence and reports.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process, input, and log custom orders
- Place stock reorders
- Accounts Payable data entry and document handling including mailing, filing, retrieval, & requesting copies
- Obtain tracking updates and monitor expected delivery dates
- Monitor and document freight charges on purchase orders
- Communicate with vendors and workrooms
- General office duties including filing, data entry, and completing daily checklists
- Respond to vendor service inquires and maintain good relationships with vendors and reps
- Monitor and upkeep of subcontractor qualifications and documentation
- Assists in quarterly physical inventory counts, research, and audits
- Must report timely to work as scheduled by LDI Management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an office or administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team or individually and to manage face-paced work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
SUMMARY
Operations positions require documentation and maintenance of paperwork and reports. Candidates must be able to sit and operate at a computer for extended periods of time. Due to our industry and widespread client base, on occasion, overtime or travel may be required. Lee Douglas Interiors operates as Team LDI and often requires assistance from multiple departments on tasks in the warehouse or throughout the facility, as such, candidates must be able to perform in environments of varying temperature and noise conditions. On occasion, positions require organization and inventory of merchandise and property, candidates must be able to perform on their feet and lift and carry merchandise for transfers and cataloging.
At Lee Douglas Interiors, we serve clients at home and on construction sites. Candidates must be able to travel locally and perform in environments of varying temperatures and noise conditions. Candidates must be able to be on their feet and lift or carry merchandise and presentation materials. In addition, candidates must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods of time.
