Need more hands on experience? Join us as a PRN Student Nurse and gain skills caring for patients in the hospital setting! Do you have one day a week, we can make it work. We have both day and night 12 hour shifts available at all hospitals, with the flexibility to work around YOUR class schedule.
The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) provides (paid) on the job training to Nursing Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing program - offering bedside patient care experience and priority consideration to our Nurse Residency program upon graduation! Exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated RNs and CNAs while gaining valuable hands on clinical professional practice experience.
Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs.
Additional Requirements
Enrolled as a Nursing Student in an accredited Registered Nurse program or approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Additional Requirements
The student must have completed the foundations or fundamentals semester of their nursing program. Student will provide an official transcript to Recruitment. Preferred: One (1) or more years of school to complete before graduation.
Certifications/Registration Requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
Other RequirementsRequired: A competency skills checklist appropriate to the job description will be given to the applicant by Human Resources Recruitment. Applicant should complete this form and bring to manager interview, in order that manager can discuss future orientation needs.Communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills are required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred: To have one (1) or more years of school before graduation date.
