We are working with a client company to help them fill a BD Representative position that focuses on selling exterior building maintenance services to large companies with multi-site facilities in the northeast (DC, DE, MD, and VA). You could be selling to property management companies, HOAs, warehousing/distribution companies, or retail clients (e.g. big-box retailers, grocery store chains, shopping malls, etc.). The company is based in the Sterling, VA area, but the role is remote as long as you can visit the corporate office once a month. Relocation assistance is available if you would like to move to the Sterling, VA area. The job has a full benefits plan.
BRIEF JOB OVERVIEW
*salary up to $100k (negotiable) plus bonuses for meeting sales goals
*role is focused on new business acquisition and account management: market research, relationship building, prospecting, proposal development, and contract negotiation
*liaising with internal teams (e.g. marketing, operations, project management, etc.)
*networking and attending industry events
*conduct presentations and demonstrate service solutions to potential clients
*use a CRM to manage your pipeline
*requires a bachelor’s degree
*requires several years in a BD role in facilities management, or other close industry, selling to large warehousing, retail distribution centers, institutions, or multi-site industrial facilities operations
*requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
*requires a verifiable track record of large industrial or retail client acquisitions
*able to work from the office 2-3 days per week if you live in the Sterling, VA area or once per month if you live elsewhere in the territory (DC, DE, MD or VA).
*requires a clean driving record
