Position Summary
To take care of observing, analyzing market and category trend & insights, consumer behavior to enable category marketing drive category growth through improving products, portfolio, business operation and overall consumer/customer experience.
Essential Functions
- Act as navigator and consumer ambassador to ensure that category-based consumers, shoppers and customer insights are the foundations of our marketing strategy and execution.
- Own current category, portfolio/prizing/Sizing strategy and operationalization in the context of mainstream retail
- Own Category Innovation, to start with cross category landscaping (market/category/competitor) to identify current and new category opportunities, followed by consumer trends, taste/flavour/cooking preference, to align where to play strategy, with renovation and innovation direction.
- Drive product superiority, including current product superiority assessment; facilitate concept development with prototype/cooking application in context; concept qualification with identifying concept drivers for product value proposition and key communication/storytelling, assets development, with go to market in context.
- Facilitate packaging, shelfing and location-based planning based on shopper insights
- As one of the key members in innovation process/gates, i.e. gatekeep size of prize assumption in kick of brief stage, till sales and marketing in launch authorization; own post launch review and inputs for optimization of the product, communication and go-to-market communication.
- Manage any ad hoc marketing research initiatives and events at global and zone-specific level as required.

RESPONBILITIES
This position current is an individual contributor role. When the team expands as the business continues to grow, this role may expand scope.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
- 8 Years and above category, portfolio, consumers, shoppers, channel insights experiences.
- Solid understanding of marketing research knowledge, in both qualitative and quantitative, with proficiency in project management skill (writing up brief, managing agencies, meeting budget, meeting timelines, incorporating input)
- Good understanding and evaluation of in market and continuous data (retail, consumer panel, brand tracking, media, demand creation etc.)
- Strong business acumen and agility to understand operations of different functions.
- Team-player, self-motivated and able to work across different functional teams.
- Well-organized and with proven experience in project management.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented but not losing the big picture.

This position requires travel; most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel may be international.
