POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for partnering and collaborating with staff to research, evaluate and procure goods, services, supplies, and equipment based on price, service, quality, and warranty to ensure compliance requirements are followed for food safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Issues purchase orders and follows up on deliveries by verifying accuracy and communicating with suppliers and warehouse regarding the required documents.
- Conducts RFQs (Request for Quote) and gathers quotations for vendor selection based on criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery dates.
- Sources and procures materials, supplies, and services in accordance with procedures to support the Company’s goals and objectives.
- Supports the Assistant Procurement Managers and other cross-functional teams to source new items, equipment, and materials/ingredients for new product development, risk assessments, and cost savings projects.
- Maintains record accuracy by setting up new vendors and maintaining vendor records on SAP, entering data for vendor evaluation, updating raw material records, and keeping accurate records of price histories and supplier performance.
- Maintains annual Supplier Questionnaire and supporting documents to support audits.
- Coordinates lease renewal, service repairs and preventive maintenance for leased equipment.
- Participates and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve Continuous Improvement targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related procurement work experience in food manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and SAP or other similar software.
- Strong sourcing, analytical, critical thinking and negotiating skills; knowledge and/or experience in market outlook research.
- Must be organized, detailed oriented, and able to multitask, with a strong work ethic to excel in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team to achieve established goals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Must have a can-do and positive attitude.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentational skills in English.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (written and verbal) is preferred.

- Ability to calculate and analyze figures and amounts such as rates, increases, percentages, variance, deductions, and adjustments.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to reports.
