Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team with aspirations to eventually become a Senior Accountant. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in the accounting operations of the company, working closely with the Controller and Accounting Team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, as well as other duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong emphasis on reconciling credit card activity, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reported amongst different internal systems.
- Handling customer inquiries and disputes related to accounts receivable.
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Ensuring that all invoices and bills are accurately coded and entered into both the ERP software and the accounting software.
- Backup coverage for other areas of the accounting department
- Performing other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in accounting
- 1-3 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience using Sage Intacct or other accounting software equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of accounting practices.
