What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry?
Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry is searching for a full-time Staff Accountant to work at our Corporate Office located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Staff Accountant will be a member of Lee Michaels accounting team working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Processing of daily business
- Processing of company credit card expense reports
- Journal Entry preparation
- Fixed Asset Record Keeping
- Reconciliations
- Payment Processing
- Assist with month end close as needed
- Other accounting duties related to retail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 3 years of related experience may be substituted for Degree.
- Excellent Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience with Concur Expense Software and ERP systems a plus
