Seamstress/Tailor

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and a strong understanding of sewing techniques. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and creating garments to meet customer specifications. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive high-quality, well-fitted clothing that enhances their personal style.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear.
• Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise modifications.
• Assess customer needs through consultations to determine the best alterations or customizations required.
• Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the sewing process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering style advice when necessary.
• Keep the work area organized and maintain sewing equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with fashion retail staff to manage inventory and assist with garment displays as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sewing and garment construction is essential.
• Proficiency in using various sewing machines and tools.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements accurately.
• Knowledge of fashion retail trends is a plus but not required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work is crucial.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
