What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment specialist position at Lee University?
The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for utilizing sales and marketing skills to generate leads and move them through the recruitment life cycle for Online and Graduate programs to meet enrollment goals.
This is a full-time, hourly, twelve-month position, and the individual must be willing to work special on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, which will include some evenings, weekends, and moderate travel.
This position will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Online and Graduate Admissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply proven sales techniques to recruit students to online and graduate programs.
- Clearly articulate the educational and career benefits of Lee University Online and Graduate programs to potential students.
- Utilize existing CRM software to conduct daily student recruiting activities (including inside / outside sales, inbound & outbound text messaging / calls / emails / letters).
- Represent Online & Graduate Admissions at professional meetings and events.
- Compile enrollment reports for the Director of Online and Graduate Admissions.
- Monitor daily activities and adjust recruiting efforts to meet monthly goals.
- Function as a member of the team that focuses on recruiting, retaining, and serving online students.
- Work in a positive and effective manner to support the mission of Online & Graduate Admissions.
- Travel for recruitment events including college / graduate fairs, church and association events.
- Coordinate activities with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Records Office as necessary.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATONS
- Ability to provide excellent customer service through both verbal and written communication
- Must be multi-task oriented and willing to handle multiple projects at once
- Possess strong organizational and people skills
- Maintain professional image and a strong work ethic
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and can learn other required programs such as Colleague and TargetX
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Preference will be given to Lee University graduates
- Previous experience in sales or college admissions preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the Enrollment Specialist may spend a significant amount of time sitting at their desk or in meetings.
During special events, the position may require extended time standing. The Enrollment Specialist must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 lbs.
This position requires the individual to drive to recruitment events locally and across the United States, and they must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
Mileage reimbursement is provided when employee uses personal vehicle.
