The Carpentry Instructor will share industry experience and educational knowledge with both middle and high school students by leading project-based learning, and teaching job readiness skills.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver carpentry lessons to club members, ensuring activities are age appropriate and safe.
• Teach basic to intermediate carpentry skills, including the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing.
• Monitor and supervise members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Provide guidance and support to members, helping them to complete individual and group projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to mentor and inspire youth.
• Experience in teaching/training basic carpentry skills.
• Commitment to promoting safety, quality, and a positive environment

Position Requirements:

• Vocational Certification in carpentry or related field
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test
• The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 10 lbs.
