Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach
Essential Functions:
The role of the head varsity basketball coach is to be responsible for coaching, character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in basketball.
Requirements:
All head varsity coaches shall have valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, Arizona Coaching Certificate, or have completed the National Federation of State High School Associations Level I Certification online at https://nfhslearn.com within forty-five (45) days from date of hire.
Head Coaches shall be approved in accordance with the personnel policies of the school district and in accordance with the Arizona Revised Statutes. This certification shall be on file or recorded in the office of the principal or his/her designee. Any and all salary or remuneration shall be from the school district by which the coach is employed and no salary or remuneration for school coaching shall be from any outside source.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card from Arizona Department of Public Safety. (Assistance and instructions to obtaining one is provided is necessary or go to www.azdps.gov)
