Electrical Department Supervisor

Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of the Electrical department in processing materials or manufacturing products in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensue minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects wiring harnesses, battery cables, panels, control boxes, etc., to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources for action.
• Directs associates to maintain and comply with safety and health requirements set by the company.
• Directs associates to comply/follow all STENA/LeeBoy policies and guidelines and to perform effectively in the area of their job.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages the manufacturing process within the assigned Production Department (Electrical). Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

• Electrical experience - must be knowledgeable in electrical builds, troubleshooting and

• Computer Skills - basic to intermediate computer skills using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Epicor

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training. Or a combination of education and experience.

Physical demands - you are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers and reach with arms. You will be required to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
