Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating a forklift safely to transport materials, product within the facility. (from / to warehouse, paint department, and fab shop.)
- Loading / unloading materials from pallets and storage racks using the forklift, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods
- Material handling - handle materials with care to prevent damage to items being transported and to any surrounding property (machinery, racks, support beams, etc.)
- Inventory management - keep accurate records of inventory movement (receipts / transfers) within each department
- Warehouse / department organization - assist in maintaining a clean and organized area by properly storing material and products.
- Equipment maintenance - perform daily equipment checks, reporting any mechanical issues or problems to your supervisor
- Safety compliance - adhere to all safety regulations and guideline to prevent accidents, damage to property, and injuries to yourself or others
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Skills and abilities:
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, good communication skills
- Physically fit - must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Minimum of 3 years' experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment
