Description:
The hours for this position are 3:00 pm to 1:45 am Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays are possible, depending on the production schedule.

Job Summary: Sprays surfaces of machines and/or parts, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as urethane and/o polyurethane paints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have basic automotive painter knowledge.
- Basic spray gun operation, basic paint equipment knowledge and repairs, basic spraying techniques.
- Spray equipment (2KS paint mixing systems, spray guns, pumps, pressure pots, spray gun cleaning station, paint kitchen area, booths ad ovens).
- Applying paint, mixing paint ratios
- Taping or masking areas
- Set up load/unload paint booths and ovens.
- Touch up equipment, panel painting or blending the area.
- Basic non-hazardous and hazardous waste training and disposal
- Must be willing to prep machines and/or parts to be painted.
- Knowledge of basic operation of the solvent recycler
- Use a 3-wheel hydraulic cart to move the machines around the paint area.
- Must be able to climb ladders (up to 12 feet), stoop, bend, reaching, pulling, walking, kneeling, standing, crouching, and crawling.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to mix all paint colors by ratio.
- Must be able to use dry film thickness gauge after the paint has cured.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- One to two years painting experience (automotive preferred)
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands/fingers, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb/balance on a ladder (up to 12 feet in the air)
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision and color vision.
