What YOU will do:

The Software Programmer is a full-time position based in our manufacturing plant in Lincolnton, NC. This position will report directly to and is responsible for helping the Business Systems Manager.

In This Role, You Will:

• Create, develop, test, update and implement PLUS 1® programs for various mobile machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLUS 1® programming and automation systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize control systems for machinery.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical components.
• Conduct calibration and fabrication tasks to enhance system performance.
• Maintain documentation of programming changes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide technical support for hydraulic systems and voltage applications as needed.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What You Need:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• PLUS 1® programming (especially Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram).
• Codesys or PLUS 1® programming experience, 1-3 years, traditional programming languages like Pascal, C or C (knowledge of these will be helpful).
• Mobile equipment automation exposure would be advantageous.
• Experience in Visual Basic or Unity is a bonus but not mandatory requirement.
• Most importantly, the candidate must have a very strong self-learning ability, doing their own research, fault finding and experimentation.
• Formal qualifications and tertiary education are not mandatory.
• Exposure to electrical drawings and diagrams will be advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Mobile Electrician or similar role with focus on PLUS 1® programming.
• Familiarity with Danfoss Controls and hydraulic systems.
• Safety standards knowledge (ISO 13849).
• Experience with HMI integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of documentation, project management, and teamwork skills.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery operations.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools including oscilloscope, voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work onsite at our Lincolnton, NC Manufacturing Facility.
