Job Key Activities and Performance Indicators:
· Using company ERP/MRP/Program Management tools, schedule, monitor and review production progress to include materials, outsourcing and equipment to support production schedules
· Create job overviews based on quotation requirements and information to prepare for future jobs
· Create schedules with production and Project Managers
· Develop plans to route work in a productive and efficient manner
· Develop plans to overcome bottlenecks due to personnel, machine or vendor constraints, and raw material challenges
· Prepare outsourcing plans and track against targets,
· Prepare, analyze, and submit weekly job status reports to include schedule and cost performance
· Identify, develop, and repmi risk mitigation plans for projects not meeting schedule or cost objectives
· Work directly with department supervisors, customer service and purchasing to ensure all aspects of customer orders are scheduled, tracked, and reported
· Track and report weekly in coordination with the Quality Team On-Time Delivery and Price of Non-Conformance (Scrap, Rework and Warranty costs), and manufacturing costs
- Work with Planning and Production to determine the need to outsource jobs or operations.
- Manage all vendors and suppliers to meet the dates requested and deliver on time.
- Work with Customer support to maintain the Customer requirements list.
- Submit RFQ’s for Out vend processes for existing WO’s and for jobs that Engineering is quoting.
- Provide manufacturability input to others on the estimating and planning teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position will report to the General Manager and works closely with the production team members and the quality team to ensure that parts produced meet our rigorous customer quality requirements. Interacts with all other Departments.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing experience desired but not required.
Basic reading and mathematical
Skills and Competencies:
Dependable and can-do attitude required.
Ability to problem solve and work under pressure a plus.
Candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Reliable transportation to be at work at scheduled time
