POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for managing the continuous operation of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe's Gaming division office and its properties information systems and local area network. Direct and lead the daily activities of the I.T. staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
- Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future network requirements to meet Leech Lake Gaming Division's needs.
- Participates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of all computer hardware and software of Leech Lake Gaming's network and technical equipment.
- Analyzes and resolves problems associated with hardware and software on desktops and network servers.
- Defines, staffs, and implements all levels of systems development projects.
- Responsible for the installation, upgrade and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Maintains necessary records on all I.T. hardware and software
- Prepares and submits annual budget requests for Information Technology expenses and monitor expenditures within fiscal guidelines.
- Maintains Weekly payroll, financial reports, employment activity records and other requested reports for management.
- Develops and maintains Leech Lake Gaming's I.T. Policies and Procedures.
- Establishes effective communication at all levels of technical and non technical audiences.
- Assists I.T. staff in carrying out support needs of all sites including troubleshooting problems and questions encountered by employees.
- Leads professional staff focusing on teamwork and responsive delivery of technical support.
- Develops staff skills.
- Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
- Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
- Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
- Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
