POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION : Provides clean and sanitary linen for Guests and is done in an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains a clean, neat working area.
- Assures that laundry equipment is running properly.
- Washes lines as they are available.
- Keeps inventory of linen in storage.
- Maintains all pertinent equipment.
- Folds and stores laundry appropriately.
- Keeps count of laundry washed per day.
- Trains in for room cleaning.
- Responds to guest inquiries in a timely, expedient manner.
- Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
- Attends and / or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
- Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
- Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
1. Knowledge of all cleaning chemicals used.
2. Knowledge of assigned cleaning equipment.
3. Dependable, honest and trustworthy.
4. Must have a good attendance record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education Required : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : No prior experience necessary
Computer Skills : No computer skills required.
Certificates & Licenses : Must meet Tribal / State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
