Leech Tishman is seeking to hire a mid-level Litigation Associate with 2-5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation to work in our Pittsburgh office. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Superior client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must. Experience required in drafting initial pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to written discovery, and extensive motions practice.
Duties And Responsibilities
Position Details: This is a full-time, salaried position. The position is to be performed in person in our Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office, Monday – Friday with expected hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Work may fall outside of these hours at times. The Litigation Associate will be a part of the Litigation Practice Group and report to the Litigation Chairs. This is a non-supervisory position.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Handling cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
- Propounding and responding to discovery
- Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses and experts
- Attending court hearings
- Preparing and arguing motions/oppositions
- Trial preparation
- 2-5 years in civil and commercial litigation
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Must be licensed in Pennsylvania
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word
- Legal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools
- Ability to handle complex litigation matters from inception to trial, including preparation of pleadings and briefs, managing discovery and depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing
- Experience in both state and federal court proceedings
- Strong academic and employment credentials
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good interpersonal interaction skills
- Well-organized
- Proven track record of performance
- Bar license (Pennsylvania required; other jurisdictions are a plus)
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years in a law firm setting
- Primarily an office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Regularly navigates the office and uses office equipment (phones, copier, printer, mail machine, A/V equipment, etc.)
- Consistently uses a computer and other equipment that requires keyboarding
- Prolonged periods of focus and attention to detail
- Consistently requires communication with others (phone, email, in person, Teams, etc.)
- Regularly engages in activities that have productivity and time driven requirements
- Some lifting and moving, such as files and other items up to 15 pounds
