What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laminator Helper - 1st Shift (07:00 a.m.-06:00 p.m.) position at LEEDO MANUFACTURING CO., L.P.?
The Laminator Helper is responsible for helping unload and stack laminated parts. Responsible for inspecting the material to quality specifications. Responsible for rejecting parts out of quality standard. Responsible for helping change the rolls to use for laminating. Preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks are also appointed.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Responsible for Laminating the material via Daily Schedule per sequenced batch.
- Responsible for Inspecting the quality of the processed parts as needed for daily schedule.
- Responsible for visual inspection of laminated parts to quality standards.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards.
- Responsible for leading by example in regard to attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and to "Drive" compliance in all areas.
- Responsible for completing proper inventory control documentation.
- Additional duties as assigned by Mill Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to help perform Machine Set up.
- Must be able to physically perform daily tasks, including lifting of large particleboard sheets or parts weighing in excess of 50 lbs. or more.
- Must be able to distinguish between different laminate paper colors.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals and daily duties.
- Must have a basic ability for reading and writing in English.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions:
- Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
