What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Saw Operator (2nd Shift 4:30pm to 4:30am) position at LEEDO MANUFACTURING CO., L.P.?
The Panel Saw Operator is responsible for programming and the overall operation of the Panel Saw. Preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks are also an assigned daily task.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Responsible for programming the Panel Saw via downloading of optimized program or parts cut lists.
- Responsible for ordering material as needed for daily schedule.
- Responsible for complete optimizations executed per schedule and in sequence.
- Responsible for the quality of the processed pieces.
- Responsible for leading by example in regards to attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and to ""Drive"" compliance in all area.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards.
- Responsible for stacking parts according to predetermined delivery details.
- Additional duties as assigned by Dept. Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to perform data entry tasks, both electronic and written. Must have a basic ability for reading and writing in English.
- Must be able to physically perform daily tasks, including lifting of large particleboard sheets or parts weighing in excess of 50 lbs or more.
- Must be able to distinguish between different laminate paper colors.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape and caliper in metric dimensions.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals and daily duties.
- Must have a basic ability for reading and writing in English
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions:
- Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
