What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Forklift Operator- 1st Shift (7am to 5:30pm) position at LEEDO MANUFACTURING CO., L.P.?

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for receiving materials into the cage and turning in all receiving documents to purchasing. The Cage Attendant is also responsible for releasing requested material out to the plant for use by different departments. In addition, the Cage Attendant will be responsible for preventative maintenance tasks for the Cage forklift and also responsible for housekeeping tasks as well. THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE A COMBINATION OF FORKLIFT OPERATIONS (20%) AND MANUAL PALLET-JACK USE (80%).
Essential Functions and Duties
- Responsible for all supply deliveries to the Cage.
- Verifies quality and quantity of deliveries before turning in receiving documents to purchasing.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards for Cage forklift.
- Releases and/or delivers material out to requesting departments
- Responsible for housekeeping duties inside the Cage
- Responsible for turning in all completed transfer request forms at the end of the day.
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to perform data entry tasks, both electronic and written.
- Must be able to safely drive the Cage forklift
- Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals.
- Must have a basic ability for reading and writing.
Education and Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
- Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
