What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Tech - Finishing (7am to 7:30pm) position at LEEDO MANUFACTURING CO?

The Process Tech will contribute to different departments day to day as needed to ensure production goals are met. The Process Tech will be cross trained to perform various tasks and be a specialist in many machines and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one-year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment and machine operation
- Willing to learn and exhibit flexibility with a variety of manufacturing work tasks
- Positive team player
- Good organizational and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail
Essential Duties:
- Contributes to different departments day to day as needed
- Cross-train to perform various tasks in machine operation, assembly, and mfg. processes
- Responsible for keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized in alignment with Company standards
- Responsible for completing work orders executed per the schedule and in sequence
- Responsible for leading by example when it comes to attendance, complying with PPE requirements, and driving overall compliance with standard work operations
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have basic ability for reading and writing, perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape.
- Must exhibit a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals and problem solving.
- Must perform machine adjustments and change over
- Must be able to distinguish various wood species
Education and/or Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Work experience is accepted in lieu of education
- Machine operation experience is preferred
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
- Wood products manufacturing environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
