What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembly Technician position at Leeds Precision Instruments, Inc.?
Are you mechanically inclined? Do you enjoy working with hand and power tools? We are seeking candidates for an opening with a leading forensic equipment company located in Plymouth, MN. This is a 1st shift position, hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. An ideal candidate will have proven mechanical technical assembly experience, a track record of good attendance with a positive attitude.
Details:
- Use of common hand tools and power tools.
- Assembly and testing of mechanical microscope component assemblies.
- The position requires strong attention to detail and production schedule.
- Ability to follow specific oral and written instructions.
- Consistently look for opportunities to improve processes.
- Effectively communicate any supply issues that are affecting production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Required Experience:
- Mechanical Knowledge: 2 years (Preferred).
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-year technical degree preferred.
- Able to lift heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.
- Soldering and electrical assembly experience is not required, but a plus.
Physical Demands
Job duties require sitting at a workbench, standing at a workbench, lifting to 50 lbs, bending, and other physical demands customary to a typical assembly environment.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday thru Friday
