Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations for a diverse commercial property portfolio. This role involves managing daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, and team oversight in a fast-paced environment, reporting directly to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations for a commercial portfolio spanning retail and hospitality assets, ensuring accurate financial transactions, general ledger analysis, and GAAP compliance.
- Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, while performing general ledger analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budget variance analysis.
- Review bank reconciliations, prepare GAAP-based financial statements, and assist in annual audits, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Utilize tools like Excel, Yardi, and JD Edwards to create reporting templates, analyze data, and support business process and technology integration initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5 years of real estate experience, with a focus on property accounting; CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, with excellent analytical and communication skills; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with JD Edwards preferred, and the ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
