Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning to align with corporate objectives.
- Real Estate Accounting Expertise: Manage property-level accounting, including CAM reconciliations, lease administration, and construction draw requests.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls; manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- System Optimization: Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial statements and reports to ownership, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Treasury and Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee treasury functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the real estate industry, including property accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate-specific accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Salary : $170,000 - $190,000
