Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director with a CPA license and a strong background in finance, accounting, and real estate to lead and oversee all financial operations. This role is pivotal in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and delivering key insights to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in financial planning and analysis, team management, and strategic collaboration, particularly within the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, with a focus on real estate investment and development projects.
- Develop strategies to optimize profitability and return on investment across real estate portfolios.
- Provide financial advice and guidance for venture capital and private equity fundraising initiatives.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders, including executives, board members, and investors.
- Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, taxes, risk management, and loan compliance, ensuring adherence to GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting related to real estate transactions, property valuations, and project performance.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and expand the finance department, mentoring team members and fostering collaboration.
- Work closely with property managers and real estate teams to develop budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Operational Oversight:
- Monitor and manage financial systems and tools, including Sage/Timberline or equivalent accounting software.
- Support real estate project feasibility studies, cost tracking, and financial modeling.
- Ensure timely delivery of financial deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
- CPA license required; CFA or advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance) preferred.
- Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in banking, investing, or accounting, with a preference for real estate finance or development experience.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, analytics, and advanced spreadsheet tools.
- Strong knowledge of real estate financial practices, including property budgeting, loan compliance, and cost management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a growing team effectively.
Salary : $200,000 - $220,000
