What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Leeds Professional Resources?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our client team. This position is contract and seeking someone to start right away in the Doral area.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing systems such as Workday/Peoplesoft
- Perform data entry tasks related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Manage journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure proper accounting of debits and credits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by accurately calculating and withholding taxes from employee paychecks.
- Generate payroll reports for management review and assist with audits as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role in payroll processing is required
- Proficiency in payroll software such as Workday/Peoplesoft
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with tax regulations affecting payroll processing is a plus.
