Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize case files and maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation by compiling evidence, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witness schedules.
- Manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met for various case milestones.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed to gather information pertinent to cases.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting personal injury cases.
Skills
- Proficient in proofreading to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
- Strong legal research skills with experience using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
