Security / Low voltage Technicians:
The Low Voltage Lead Technician will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing a range of installation, training, QC and support for new construction, moves/add/changes, service, rollouts, and special projects. The Lead Technician will be responsible for installations and regional rollouts through on-site involvements on projects. Our ideal candidate has experience with low voltage technologies such as standard low voltage cabling, AP troubleshooting and repair, CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Security Intrusion Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and service work on customer site, based on schedule.
- Provide regular updates (email responses/updates/deliverables/information) to Service and Project Management Team(s).
- Act as point of escalation for clients; resolve issues where possible, otherwise escalate to Supervisor and Service and Project Team(s)
- Provide low voltage cabling, AP troubleshooting and repair, CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Security Intrusion Systems service and installations in a variety of retail, financial and office building environments.
- Terminate and test Category 5e and 6 copper cables to manufacturer and BICSI standards.
- Terminate and test multi-mode fiber to manufacturer and BICSI standards.
- Install equipment racks, cabinets, and cable support systems, including J-hooks, Arlington straps and ladder tray systems.
- Able to participate in project installation and service/MAC activities during nights and weekends.
Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing of:
DVR's
- March Networks, Verint and Dedicated Micros
Alarm Systems:
- Bosch & Panasonic (mostly Troubleshooting and repair , some programming)
Cameras
- Axis, and Wren Solutions (Must have experience with the Networking side with the Cameras)
Education and Training:
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of Cabling hands-on field experience and/or Cabling project management experience in a retail or commercial setting. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Previous experience with low voltage cabling, AP troubleshooting and repair, CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Security Intrusion Systems
Must have experience with the following:
- Intrusion and/or Alarm Systems in a commercial retail environment.
- Camera and DVR systems, including IP Cameras installation and configuration.
- Install conduit, cabinets, and cable support systems, including J-hooks and bridal rings.
- Terminate and test Category 5e and 6 copper cables to manufacturer and BICSI standards
- DVRs - March Networks, Verint and Dedicated Micros
