What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Leeds Professional Resources?
Core Responsibilities:
Investment Fund, Special Purpose Vehicle and Insurance Dedicated Fund Accounting
• Supervise the firm’s external fund administrators:
ο to ensure all reporting is timely, accurate and maintained properly in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements;
ο to supervise, be the initial approver for, prepare and review expenses, allocations, management fee calculations, net asset value calculations and other miscellaneous reports;
ο to supervise, be the initial approver for, prepare and review calculations and notices to investors including capital calls/distributions, equalization, waterfall, other calculations and notices to investors;
ο to supervise, be the initial approver for, prepare and review annual and quarterly financial statements and investor capital statements;
ο to verify all investor reporting is timely provided to investors;
ο to supervise and be the initial approver for the treasury process for the funds in tandem with the treasurer;
• Supervise and be the initial approver for and prepare and review information for the third-party compliance personnel and/or internal resources to complete required SEC and compliance reports;
• Review and be the initial approver investment subscription documentation provided by investors and prepared internally;
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting;
• CPA required. Candidates nearing completion of their CPA with required education will be considered;
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel;
• Fast learner committed to coming up to speed on new software quickly, familiarity with SageIntacct, Bill.com, Carta and/or iPaladin is a preferred;
• Desire to work in a small collegial environment;
• Ability to self-motivate and manage multiple tasks and projects;
• Be a team player who contributes to and drives the team to succeed;
• Highly detail- and data-oriented with solid critical thinking, organizational and analytical skills;
• Comfortable taking initiatives and suggesting new ideas, processes, improvements, etc.;
• Communicates effectively and promptly with internal and external parties;
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all Company matters; and
• Ability to travel up to 10% of working time.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
