Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating, preparing, processing, and verifiying purchase orders following guidelines and purchasing goods by required delivery dates.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Utilize procurement management systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for tracking orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Monitor quality management processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support production planning by analyzing material requirements and availability through MRP systems.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and inventory levels.
Skills
- Marine Industry experience
- Strong knowledge of procurement management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in logistics coordination and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with Dockmaster software is a plus.
- Experience in supplier management and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to analyze data related to sourcing, production planning, and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
Schedule is from 7:30am until 4:30pm, fast paced environment, fully on site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
