Accounting Manager - Temporary role
My client, a large company with offices in Miami, is looking for an experienced accounting professional to support our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience, the ability to manage a small team, and proficiency in PeopleSoft Financials. This role will involve reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, performing variance analysis, assisting with audits, and supporting ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review journal entries and balance reconciliations as needed.
- Conduct variance analysis and review month-over-month (MoM) balance sheet (B/S) and profit & loss (P/L) explanations as part of the close process.
- Provide support for audit and miscellaneous requests, including running queries.
- Assist and support team members with accounting-related inquiries.
- Contribute to ongoing projects, which will comprise 30-40% of the role.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft Financials.
- Experience managing a team of three or more resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business preferred.
