What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultivation Technician - *Weekly Pay position at Leela Herb Company?
The right candidate demonstrates proficiency, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment; is resourceful, able to work both independently and with a team, and prioritizes quality. The Cultivation Technician will perform daily operations in cultivation including processes and procedures within the propagation, vegetation, and flowering phases.
- Adhere to cultivation schedules to ensure plants are healthy and prepared for the flower process.
- Ensure plants are receiving proper irrigation, nutrients, pruning, pest and disease control.
- Adhere to proper techniques related to cultivation; transplanting, pruning, defoliation, watering, feeding, and harvesting.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and traceability of plants, including plant counts, both physically and in METRC, and report plant inventory discrepancies to management immediately for correction.
- Monitor stock of cultivation supplies and equipment and work with Procurement to order supplies.
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the facility and equipment.
- May be assigned other job duties as necessary.
- Operate with integrity and honesty.
- Communicate known issues to the management team to ensure a smooth flow of operations within the company.
- Complete side tasks and projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Excellent computer, mathematic, language, and reasoning skills.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis.
- Minimum 1 year experience in commercial cannabis cultivation.
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity.
- At least 21 years of age
- Demonstrated passion for serving the medical cannabis community.
- Ability to work within a team and without.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Organization and planning skills
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale
