As a Samaritans' Closet Team Member, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of our thrift store while delivering excellent customer service. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register accurately, processing purchases and handling payments.
- Collaborate with volunteers to organize merchandise, stock shelves, and maintain a clean store environment.
- Provide support in accepting and sorting donations, ensuring items are displayed attractively.
- Ensure adherence to store policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Lift and move items up to 20 lbs. as part of store operations.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with volunteers and staff.
- Basic math skills for operating the register and processing transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience.
