What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Leelanau Veterinary Care?
We are seeking a part time (possible full time) veterinary assistant / animal care technician to join our fast-paced small animal practice. Compassion for animals, a positive attitude, in addition to excellent communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will have previous veterinary experience but is not necessary, be good at multitasking, and have computer skills. Hours are 2 full days a week and occasional Saturdays. Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health.
- Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology to support diagnostic and treatment processes.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility and equipment.
- Stay updated on veterinary practices and procedures to deliver high-quality care.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
