Position Title : Data Visualization Development Intern
Location : Coralville, IA (On-Site / Hybrid)
Status : Temporary / Seasonal Internship (Summer 2025)
Duration : May 12, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Overview :
Leepfrog Technologies, Inc. provides its CourseLeaf software to more than 500 of the nation’s most academically complex colleges and universities to manager their academic catalogs, curriculum, section scheduling, registration, and syllabi management.
The Data Visualization Development Intern will work with our Front-End Developers and Data Visualization Developer on a variety of projects. This intern with gain valuable, real-world experience in web development and visualizing and displaying data. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of design, a passion for data and data visualization, a passion for education and student success.
Duties :
- Assist in collecting and integrating data from various sources such as APIs, databases, and third-party tools.
- Support the processing, transformation, and presentation of data for front-end applications.
- Learn and apply best practices in data visualization to create insightful, aesthetically appealing reports and dashboards.
- Help develop interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards using modern visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js).
- Work with team members to understand client needs and translate data into compelling visual stories.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine data visualization solutions and optimize usability.
- Research and experiment with new visualization techniques to improve reporting.
- Maintain documentation of visualization processes and best practices.

The Data Visualization Development Intern will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The Data Visualization Developer Intern may be located in a busy, open area office, and may be faced with periodic interruptions.
